Arts Enterprises in Health & Social Care

The Aesop Arts Enterprises in Health & Social Care group is an action learning set for those vanguard organisations which have succeeded in getting commissioned by health or social care.

The current group members are Animation Therapy, Clod Ensemble, Breathe Arts Health Research, Cheshire Dance, Core Arts, Creative Health CIC, Dance Action Zone Leeds, English National Ballet, Equal Arts, Finding your Compass, ForMed Films, Green Candle Dance, Helix Arts, Jack Drum Arts, Ladder to the Moon, National Museums Liverpool, Mental Fight Club / Dragon Cafe, Pictures to Share, Prism Arts, Rosetta Art Centre, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Small Things Dance, Start in Salford, The Reader Organisation, Tin Arts, Vital Arts, Willis Newson and Wigmore Hall.

The group meeting regularly for mutual learning and support. For each meeting members are joined by experts in topics selected by the group: so far the evolving clinical commissioning landscape, social enterprise, quality, integrated care, wellbeing, and arts and older people have been topics of discussion.

Past guests speakers include Dr Michael Dixon (President of NHS Clinical Commissioners), Dr Sir Sam Everington (a GP in east London and chair of NHS Tower Hamlets Clinical Commissioning Group), Lord Filkin (Chair of the Centre for Ageing Better), Professor Martin Green (Chief Executive, Care England) and Professor Martin Marshall (Professor of Healthcare Improvement at University College London).
