We are very pleased to announce that we have appointed Professor Kevin Fenton as Aesop’s Chair of Trustees.
Professor Fenton is currently Strategic Director of Place and Wellbeing at the London Borough of Southwark (a three-year secondment from his role of National Director of Health and Wellbeing at Public Health England). He leads Southwark Council’s portfolios on Planning, Regeneration, Community and Voluntary Sector Engagement and Public Health whilst working across the entire Council to champion and promote health, wellbeing and equity in all policies and programmes.
Of his appointment to the role of Chair of Trustees he said, “I am delighted to be taking on this new role at Aesop, which combines my passion for the arts, wellbeing and improving health. The arts plays such a critical role in supporting and improving our health and wellbeing – for individuals, families and communities. Organisations such as Aesop help bridge disciplines, promote innovation and greatly assist with identifying the most effective arts interventions to help tackle our major health challenges.”
Tim Joss, Aesop’s Chief Executive and Founder said, “I very much look forward to working with Kevin. His health sector experience, strategic approach and long record of engagement with the arts is an ideal mix. His arrival is timely as we prepare for another substantial growth phase for Aesop.”
